Wheatley Hill and Thornley

Wheatley Hill and Thornley Village Atlas

Are you a resident of Wheatley Hill, Thornley or the surrounding area? If so you may be interested in the findings of the Village Atlas project.

This project celebrated the historic environment of Wheatley Hill and Thornley, using archaeology, historic buildings and landscapes. It linked with their biodiversity and geodiversity to provide a full understanding of their environment.

The Atlas is now complete and information used on pop-up displays can be found on the Wheatley Hill History Club’s website.

For further information please contact Alan Rushworth at The Archaeological Practice on Tel: 0191 273 0777 or Email: archprac@tiscali.co.uk.
